The Mandela Library is maintained by a small, dedicated team of librarians, researchers, and archivists who share a fascination with memory and its quiet transformations. Together, they preserve, catalogue, and interpret the materials that shape our collective understanding of the past.
Dr. Eleanor Hart — Founder & Chief Archivist
A former historian of modern memory studies, Dr. Hart founded the Mandela Library in 2012 after years of collecting accounts of shared false memories. Her vision was to create a space where fact and recollection could coexist without judgment — a library that listens to how people remember.
Samuel Reyes — Head Librarian
Reyes oversees the Library’s daily operations and public collections. With a background in archival science, he focuses on conservation, digital cataloguing, and the careful preservation of fragile printed matter.
Leila Morand — Oral History Curator
Trained in anthropology, Leila directs the Oral Testimony Program. She gathers and preserves personal stories from visitors who contribute their own experiences with collective memory. Her work gives the Library its living voice.
Dr. Jonas Mercer — Research Director
A cognitive psychologist specializing in perception and false memory, Dr. Mercer coordinates academic partnerships and visiting research fellows. His studies explore how social context and suggestion shape what we believe to be true.
Clara Duval — Archivist of Ephemera
Clara manages the Library’s collection of everyday artifacts — packaging, posters, and other printed materials that capture the subtle evolution of public imagery over time.
Nadia Liao — Digital Collections Manager
Nadia curates the Library’s online archives, preserving digital traces such as forum posts, social media discussions, and digital artworks inspired by the Mandela Effect. She ensures that the digital memory of our age is not lost to time.
"The Mandela Library collects not only what is written, but what is remembered." — The Mandela Library Team
